Dear Parent / Carer
We are aware that the forecast is predicated to be very hot on Monday 18 July and Tuesday 19 July I would like to confirm that we will do all we can to keep classrooms ventilated and the students appropriately hydrated. Additional water stations will be available in the canteen for students to replenish bottles.
However, the afternoon sun combined with 30 teenagers make the classrooms very hot and not conducive to a positive and productive learning environment. I have, therefore, decided that we need to make some adjustments to the normal afternoon arrangements.
Students will be expected to attend and engage fully in their learning for registration and lessons 1, 2 and 3. Students will leave site at 12.35 and have access to Google Classroom. Students can continue to wear full Astley Cooper PE kit for Monday and Tuesday.
For any student who is not able to leave at this time, they should report to the canteen where they are welcome to wait until the end of the day.
Thank you for your support.
Mr Sam Orsborne
Headteacher
